Here’s our quick and easy statement to understand our new templates for the Staff Profile and Vacancy pages work within your PrimarySite website.
PLEASE NOTE- these are not automatically set up on your site and are a chargeable add on. Please reach out to support should you wish to add this functionality
Here at PrimarySite we recognised a need for our customers to be able to display structured and editable content for Staff Profiles (Who’s Who) and Job Vacancies pages to be added to their site. We have been able to make a solution so that this process can be easily done through the CMS and is enabled using the Text Block system.
What does this mean for your website?
At PrimarySite our main concern is your website design and the content that a school or trust will have can be editable by yourselves. We already recognise that the responsibility of the content does sit with the school or trust to keep updated and by having these template tools in place, it allows you to add your own pages.
To do this, we now have 3 different sets of templates available to choose from, and can be implemented on your website.
There are subtle differences between the 3 sets. All 3 sets, allow for flexible styling, you can have multiple who’s who blocks added to a page, you can populate links through to ‘read more’ plus add photos and biographies.
The vacancies page also allows for job titles, descriptions, a category, a ‘read more’ to further content, you can add attachments and should you populate a page with more than one vacancy a filter by category system will pop up.
How Do I make this page on my website?
To make a Staff Profile page or Vacancy page, you would firstly need to create a standard page under one of your navigational headers or if this is a new design, content may already be in place.
The page itself, can be edited using the blue ‘edit this page’ button and then select the ‘Text’ Block icon.
Once within the Text block, you will see we have added this icon, when hovering over it, it will say ‘Templates’ depending on the set you have chosen, will then determine which template model you will see. You can only have one set of templates available on your website, you can’t mix and match the 3 sets.
The 3 sets of templates
- Job Vacancy Template – Set 1;
- Staff Profile Template; Set 1
- Vacancy Template – Set 2;
- Staff Profile Template – Set 2;
- Vacancy Template – Set 3;
Once the template button has been selected, you will see the clickable buttons you can press to fill out the job details.
When you start to complete the fields for the vacancy, you can see you have the ability to change everything that has an outlined box, you can also change the date field so that the dates, have a
superscript – for example ‘th’ you would need to use the button to change this. The job details are filled out and upon saving
The box for View Job Details is a clickable button, so you can then see the text displayed if filled with detail
- Staff Profile Template – Set 3;
When adding this template onto a page, you can see there is a name, job title and bio field
Once completed and it has been saved to the page, it will appear like this on the page. The picture image has been customised and the ‘View Bio’ is clickable so you can read the biography in full.
